  I'm actually just graduated from this school. I have read online the ratings for top public school districts and Carterville Intermediate School was ranked #3 2 years ago but now is ranked #1 in the state of Illinois. I do know that its does have some problems with bullying, but the bullying isn't the typical "beat on the tiny helpless kid" bullying its more of a name calling. And I do know that can still hurt. Also the school district is very into sports even. We have Baseball, Vollyball Basketball, Softball, Football, and maybe soon a soccer team. I know that if your a parent you're going to be less likely to send your child to school here just because I'm just a teenager, but it still is a great school and I advise you quite strongly to send your child/children here. Also if your child/children are disabled or handicapped in anyway this school has a wonderful Special education program. And I do have a kid in my class and has been since 5th grade that has cerebral palsy and not once has anyone said or done anything mean/hateful to him ever, so not to worry about that.
